Continuum’s independent living and care leaver packages can take place in the family home, private accommodation or one of our independence flats. Our own independence homes welcome young people aged sixteen and above for an unrestricted time whilst they learn to look after themselves. Over time support at the home lessens encouraging a young person to familiarise themselves with self–reliance yet allowing them to access assistance should they need it. During this time our staff also work hard to help young people find training courses and/or employment in the local area and following any independence placement will work with the young person to find them a new home.
