Our independent living programme is the final stage in our continuum of care model. We offer this package to those aged sixteen and above who are ready to take care of themselves. Around the country we have several specialist independence and semi–independence homes all of which are supported by a  24/7 on call staff team. Our staff strongly encourage personal development by helping each young person to become confident in self–care, budgeting and other life skills.

We encourage each young person to become self–sufficient, each week individuals are provided with a set amount of money and assisted in planning their purchases for the next seven days. This is used to encourage self–control and establish priorities. Each of our independence homes has strong established links with nearby colleges and training centres which serve to assist our residents in deciding their future career path.

During the programme a focus is also placed on social integration and community involvement thorough local projects. The staff team will support each individual to get involved in such programmes in addition to assisting a young person to find their own permanent accommodation and the end of any placement.
